Chor Foon Tang

Chor Foon TANG is an Associate Professor of Economics attached to CenPRIS, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Malaya. His research mainly revolves around argumentations pertaining to development economics, macroeconomics and growth catalysts in areas such as tourism, energy, savings, etc. utilising both time series and panel data econometric approaches. His research outcomes and publications have contributed to both policy formulation and analysis in a variety of fields ranging from development economics, macroeconomics to tourism economics, especially in understanding the dynamics and efficacy of growth catalysts in stimulating economic development and social well-being. He is an Editor and Associate Editor for several journals, namely the International Journal of Social Economics, Institutions and Economies, the International Journal of Tourism Policy, and the Asia-Pacific Journal of Business Administration.
