Christian Gayer

Dr Christian Gayer has been Economist at DG ECFIN of the European Commission since January 2004 (Business Surveys Unit). He was previously working for the German Ministry of Finance (European Economic and Fiscal Policy). From 1998 to 2002 he worked as research assistant in the field of Statistics/Econometrics at the Universities of Bochum and Hagen. His PhD in Economics was from the University of Bochum (2002) where his doctoral dissertation was "Forecast Evaluation of Composite Business Cycle Indicators for Germany" (in German).
