Deniz Erdemlioglu is a PhD candidate in economics at Catholic University of Leuven (K.U.Leuven) and University of Namur (FUNDP), Belgium. He is also a researcher in finance at the Center for Asset Management - Louvain School of Management. Deniz holds a predoctoral research degree (MASE) in economics from Catholic University of Leuven (KULeuven). As a Fulbright Scholar, he obtained an MA degree in economics from State University of New York - Binghamton, and an MA degree in economics and finance from Bogazici University. Deniz Erdemlioglu has graduated from Kadir Has University, Istanbul with double bachelors degrees in economic and international finance.

In the summer of 2010, Deniz was a visiting researcher in the Department of Quantitative Economics at Maastricht University, the Netherlands. From March 2011 to June 2011, he was also a visiting scholar at the Research Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and also in the Department of Economics at the Washington University.
