Manuel Martins

Manuel António da Mota Freitas Martins is currently Assistant Professor at Faculdade de Economia, Universidade do Porto, Portugal.
He has obtained a PhD in Economics from Universidade do Porto in 2003 (Thesis: "Macroeconomic Trade-offs and Monetary Policy in the Euro Area"), a Masters in Economics at the same University in 1996 (Thesis: "Moeda e Preços em Portugal 1932-1990 - Uma Investigação com Métodos de Séries Temporais.") and a "Licenciatura in Economics" (5 year undergraduate course) also at Universidade do Porto in 1987.
He has published some book chapters and papers at the Journal of Common Market Studies, Applied Economics and Empirical Economics.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Doctoral Program in Economics and of the research center cef.up (Centre for Economics and Finance at the University of Porto).
