Matija Lozej

Economist,

Matija holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Amsterdam. Currently he works at the Central Bank of Ireland as an economist involved in the Macro Modelling Project, where his tasks are producing and using DSGE models for policy analysis. His research interests cover two areas. The first area is in DSGE models, where he is interested in the effects of labour market frictions on employment, labour market flows, and propagation of shocks. He has also worked on fiscal policy and its cross-border spill-overs. The second area is empirical, where he has investigated the effects of financial frictions on business cycles and the real economy (using structural VARs).
