Alin Marius Andrieș

I am Associate Professor at Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. Previously, I was a Go8 Senior Research Fellow at School of Banking and Finance, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia and a SCIEX Senior Research Fellow at Swiss Institute of Banking and Finance s/bf-HSG, University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. My research interests are focused on financial intermediation, corporate governance, bank efficiency and competition, and empirical finance. My recent works investigate the impact of international swap lines on bank performance and to what extent risk management and corporate governance mitigate the involvement of banks in credit boom and bust cycles in transition countries.
