Björn Ohl

Senior Economist, Narodowy Bank Polski

Björn Ohl is a senior economist in the Bureau of Applied Research of Narodowy Bank Polski, the Polish central bank. He received a PhD in economics from the Stockholm School of Economics in August 2013, with Professor Lars Ljungqvist as his advisor. Prior to his PhD studies, he obtained a diplom degree in economics from the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. His main research interests are in macroeconomics and finance. Currently, Björn works on questions in public finance, such as the short and long run effects of government debt on the real economy, and on Laffer curves for Poland and other CEE countries. Moreover, his latest research covers the modeling of financial frictions in general equilibrium macroeconomic models.
