Formerly studying for a Ph.D. in Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics with a job market paper on the relation between access to the credit market and business cycle volatility. My other research papers are about monetary externalities in a new Keynesian model, the effects of financial liberalization and banking crises on growth, housing prices and optimal monetary policy rules. As part of my graduate studies I was Research Assistant at the IIES (2001), Visiting PhD Student at the Research Department of the Sverige Riksbank (2002-2003 ), Marie Curie Fellow at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (6 months, 2003-2004), Research Fellow at the University of Rome III, Visiting Scholar at the EUI (5 months, 2005) and during the summer 2005 at the Monetary Policy Research Division of the ECB for the Graduate Research Programme.
