Evi Pappa

Professor of Macroeconomics, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid

Evi Pappa is an applied macroeconomist currently employed as at Universidad Carlos III Madrid working on topics at the intersection of macroeconomics, monetary policy and public finance within developed economies from a closed and an open economy perspective.

She finished her PhD in 2001 under the supervision of Jordi Gali at UPF in Barcelona and since then have held positions in different universities in Europe (LSE, Bocconi, UAB, University of Bern and the EUI) and being a visiting scholar in various central banks (Bank of England, the European Central Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the Central Bank of Brazil and the Riksbank (Sweden)). She is also a Research Fellow of the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and in the panel of experts for the Centre for Macroeconomics (CFM) and an associate editor of the Economic Journal.
