George Alessandria

Professor, Professor

George Alessandria is a professor of economics at the University of Rochester. Prior to that he has held positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Princeton, NYU, Wharton, and Ohio State and is Research Associate of the NBER. He earned his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000.

Professor Alessandria specializes in the fields of international trade and macroeconomics. His current research focuses on understanding the role of international trade and trade policy in the propagation of business cycles. Professor Alessandria has published his research findings in the Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Economic Review, Journal of International Economics, and International Economic Review.
