Luca Alfieri

Luca Alfieri was born in Parma, Italy, on January 5, 1986. He graduated in Development Economics at the University of Parma in 2009. He obtained a second master’s degree in Macroeconomics and European policies at Strasbourg University in 2012. In 2016 he was accepted at the Advanced Studies Program of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and he obtained the Certificate of International Economic Policy Research of the Kiel Institute in May 2017.
Since September 2017, Luca Alfieri is a PhD student at the School of Economics and Business Administration at the University of Tartu. Since April 2019, Luca Alfieri is also Junior Research Fellow at the School of Economics and Business Administration at the University of Tartu. His PhD topic concerns Macroeconomic applications using Big Data and Machine Learning methods. Moreover, he is interested in International Trade, Monetary Economics and Asian economics.
