Martin Feldkircher

Economist, Oesterreichische Nationalbank

Martin Feldkircher has been working as an economist in the Foreign Research Division at the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) since October 2008. His main responsibilities are business cycle and macrofinancial analyses of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (CESEE). He is an expert in forecasting, risk assessment and external spillover analysis for the CESEE region.

Martin Feldkircher holds a doctoral degree in economics from the University of Innsbruck.
His main research interests are global macro models, Bayesian analysis, forecasting, determinants of vulnerability to the crisis, income convergence and economic growth. He has contributed to numerous articles in both the OeNB’s publications and other peer-refereed journals, such as the Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Forecasting, Pacific Economic Review and Regional Studies.
