Szilard Benk

Szilard Benk is Associate Professor at Corvinus University Budapest. Prior to this he was Alternate Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund. He also held positions at the Hungarian Ministry of Finance, the Fiscal Council of Hungary, Magyar Nemzeti Bank and the European Central Bank. He holds a Ph.D. from Central European University. His research is focused on the role of credit and financiai innovations in affecting the monetary and real business cycle, macroeconomic modeling, fiscal policy, energy economics and oil price dynamics.
