Head of the Monetary Transmission Division at the Economic Research Department,
Tomasz Lyziak joined Narodowy Bank Polski in 1998. During his career at the Polish central bank he has been involved in various analytical and research activities. Currently he is the economic advisor and head of the Monetary Transmission Division at the Economic Research Department. Apart from his work at Narodowy Bank Polski, Tomasz Lyziak serves as associate professor in the Institute of Economic Sciences, Polish Academy of Sciences.
His research interests, reflected in a number of publications, are related to empirical macroeconomics and are concentrated on the following areas: monetary policy, monetary transmission mechanism, measuring and modelling inflation expectations as well as macroeconomic modelling and forecasting.
