Yifan Chen

Ph.D. student, Penn State University

As a second-year Ph.D. student in real estate from Smeal College of Business, Pennsylvania State University, I am interested in applied econometrics, household finance, housing markets and the macroeconomy. My devoted research passion aims to understand the interaction between the household mortgage and the real economy.
Motivated by the interests, I conducted several related research and devoted to draw the useful policy implications from my papers for the real practice. Apart from this, I actively involved in the research network to present in several international conferences, such as MMF(2016), AREUEA-AsRES(2018). This May I was nominated as a PhD student fellow in the Real Estate Research Institute (RERI) in Chicago. Through all these, I endeavor and expertise myself to be a more mature scholar that contribute to policy improvements and the housing market stability.
