Women in Central Banking

The aim of this one-day workshop is to provide a platform for young female PhD students working in topics relevant for central banks to present and receive feedback on their work.

The workshop will foster the interaction among conference attendance, presenters and senior economists working in central banks, providing ample opportunity for discussions and networking. Each paper will be assigned a discussant.

The governor of Norges Bank, Ida Wolden Bache, will provide the opening remarks.  The workshop will include a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities for women pursuing a research career in central banking.  Natalya Martynova (Bundesbank), Caterina Mendicino (ECB) and Nitzan Tzur-Ilan (Dallas FED) will act as panelists, and the discussion will be moderated by Marieke Bos (SSE and VU Amsterdam).
