The Bank of Finland's key research areas are, on one hand, the interaction between and stability of the macro economy and the financial markets, and, on the other, the emerging economies, particularly Russia and China.

The research activities of the Bank of Finland are primarily carried out in two units: the Research Unit and BOFIT (The Bank of Finland Institute for Economies in Transition).

Visiting Researcher Programme – Call for applications

The Bank of Finland's Research Unit invites applications for the Visiting Scholars Programme in the areas of interest for the Bank, i.e. macroeconomics, monetary policy and financial stability. The programme is biannual with calls in April and September.
