Martino Pelli

Martino Pelli is Assistant Professor of Economics at the Université de Sherbrooke
(Canada), where he moved after a post-doctoral stay at the Alberta School of Business. He is an applied economist with interests in energy and development economics and
international trade. He studies the impact of rural energy use (for example, electricity
and firewood collection) on household income and time allocation, and the economic
consequences of natural disasters such as hurricanes. He has a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland.
